Alkali Bulrush

Bolboschoenus maritimus

Alkali bulrush is a perennial, cool-season mat-forming wetland plant that is native to alkali and salty wetlands across most of North America. It grows from 1 to 3 feet in height, with no leaves, and forms dense, rhizomatous stands. Thrives in hard-to-establish alkali and salty marshes, playas, ponds, streams and mud flats.
