Festuca rubra ssp. fallax

Chewings Fescue is a cool-season perennial, loosely to densely tufted bunch grass that is native to Northern Europe. This general-purpose turf grass grows 1 to 2 feet tall, with fine, enrolled, blue-green leaves. Shade tolerant and holds color into winter. Named for George Chewings, who bred the turf variety at his sheep station in New Zealand.
