Arizona Fescue

Festuca arizonica

Arizona Fescue is a cool-season, long lived perennial bunch grass that is native to the Southwestern US. Grows 1 to 3 feet from a densely tufted base, with numerous, fine basal leaves. Very common in the Ponderosa Pine zone between 6,000 feet and 10,000 feet, on non-alkali soils. Used for forage, range restoration, roads, ski slopes, and site stabilization.
