Elymus glaucus
Blue Wildrye is a large, cool-season, quick establishing, short-lived perennial bunch grass that is native to the northern half of North America. It grows from 2 to 6 feet tall, with thin, flat blue-green leaves, and vigorous roots. Good pioneer species, produces quick cover and self-perpetuating. Used for forage, forest plantings/cutover woodlands, and general reclamation.
