Festuca idahoensis
Idaho Fescue is a perennial, cool-season bunch grass that is native to the Intermountain West and the Pacific Northwest. Grows 1 to 3 feet tall, with numerous fine, rough, blue-green leaves. Thrives on deep, fertile soil at most elevations, from 800 feet in Washington to above 12,000 feet in Colorado. Used for forage, range restoration, and reclamation on mountainous areas.
