Intermediate Wheatgrass is an introduced, cool-season sod forming perennial grass native to much of Europe and Asia. It grows 2 to 4 feet tall, with clumped, blue-green basal leaves and massive roots and rhizomes. Starts growth early in the spring and has good regrowth. Grows well on fine-textured, fertile soil. Widely used for pasture, forage, hay, roads, ditch banks, and reclamation.
