Sideoats Grama, is a perennial, warm-season grass, that grows across much of the United States east of the Rocky Mountains. It grows 1 to 3 feet tall, with bluish-green leaves and short rhizomes. Its seed head is an attractive, unique raceme of oat-like seed spikes, which hang from only one side of its flowering stems. Widely used for pasture, forage, hay, conservation mixes, erosion control, and revegetation. State grass of Texas and Oklahoma.
