PBSI Dry Native Mountain Mix
This mix was formulated for mountain parks and dry mountain slopes, including broad valleys and plateaus. The elevation ranges from 7,000’ to over 9,000’. The average annual precipitation is 8” to 16” and most of the moisture falls as snow in the winter. Much of the area is grass and shrubs with valley bottoms, aspen and cottonwood. The Dry Native Mountain Mix is adapted to dry mountain conditions and useful for restoration, forage and wildlife. It is also adapted for reclamation of roads, trails, pipelines and home sites. The sites have generally shallow soils, low precipitation and often south-facing slopes.
