Elymus canadensis
Canada Wildrye is a cool-season, perennial bunch grass that is native to much of the northern half of North America. It grows 2 to 4 feet tall, forming large clumps of blue-green, broad leaves. It is noted for its arching, wheat/rye-like spikes which bloom in summer and remain attractive well into winter. Used for rapid cover, wildlife, and site stabilization, as well as sub irrigated or flooded sites.
