Rocky Mountain Fescue
Festuca saximontana
Rocky Mountain Fescue is a cool-season, perennial bunch grass native to much of northwestern North America. It grows 6 to 24 inches tall, with an appearance similar to Hard Fescue. Grows well on open, exposed, high elevation sites with shallow soil. Used for pasture, forage, mine reclamation, and as an excellent high-altitude turf grass.
