Russian Wildrye is a perennial, cool-season, bunch grass that is native to temperate pan-Asian grasslands. It grows 1 to 4 feet tall, tufted, with fine basal leaves, superficially resembling Crested Wheatgrass. It is very competitive, with an extensive root system. Used for range, pasture, forage, and hay.
