Sand Dropseed is a warm season, native, quick establishing, perennial bunch grass. It grows 2 to 3 feet tall, with fine leaves and coarse, penetrating roots. The seed head is kept in a unique, stem-like leaf roll until maturation, when it un-rolls and ‘drops seed’. Thrives on a wide variety of sandy sites. Valuable species for conservation and reclamation. Used for pasture, forage, hay, reclamation, and stabilization of sandy sites.
