Saw-Beaked Sedge is a cold hardy, cool season perineal that forms densely clotted clumps from non-rhizomatous root locks. Saw-Beaked Sedge thrives in almost any wet soil environment at low elevations such as wetlands, disturbed wet meadows, open clearings, ditches, swamps, and near lake edges. It prefers full sun to partial shade and moist to standing water. It establishes quickly providing rapid soil stabilization and erosion control. Useful for wetland and riparian restoration.
