Slender Wheatgrass is a cool-season, short-lived (4-6 years), early establishing, perennial bunch grass native to the northern half of North America, with highly variable ecotypes. It grows from 1 to 4 feet in height, with narrow, long leaves and a bunchy habit. Primary reclamation grass for roadsides, ski slopes, and disturbed areas on cool, mountainous sites.
