Needle and Thread is a cool season, perennial bunch grass that is native to most of North America, and occurs widely across the Great Plains. Grows 1 to 3 feet tall, with glossy, bright green leaves about the base and deep, fibrous roots. Very common between 4,000 feet and 8,500 feet in a variety of habitats. Used for pasture, forage, hay, and site stabilization
